Hey, hey! This is Stacie-Rae, and here are some samples of the stuff I suffer for....
As I grow up, I am getting more and more honest with my inspiration and doing more art that actually interests me, instead of what I think I should be doing. I grew up being pathetically in love with horsies, and I spent my days drawing them and daydreaming of the day I would have one of my own. It was so bad, my teachers would actually lecture my mother about me only wanting to draw horses when I was young.
As I got older, I did finally get some horses, and started looking for a more high-power octane installment, thus fueling my love of muscle cars. I used to work in an autobody shop, doing taping and sanding and hoping one day to become a car painter. But, alas, I was fairly lazy and it really IS hard work, so I took more of a graphic design approach to 'artistic expression'.
A few years back I decided to apply my graphic skills to a realistic horse rendering, and actually enjoyed it quite a bit, which led to me pursuing pencil drawing... I LOVE doing the hotrod drawings, they make my heart sing.
Then, just a couple years ago, an opportunity cropped up for me to learn how to pinstripe with Doug Dorr, an amazing striper from SoCal, and I thought to myself, wow, I really CAN have it all, horsepower illustration in all forms!! These are just a few samples of what my style looks like, I'm willing to take on anything, if you have a passion for it, then I will too....
I think the BEST thing for you to do if you wanna have some art is start by buying a print! I will dedicate it to you and throw it in the mail.
